splish splash {miami baby photography}

with all the rain lately, i’ve been wanting to do a splish splash photo shoot with isaiah so bad. so a couple days ago after a good rain storm, the time was right. and as for isaiah, you don’t have to tell him twice, he LOVES splashing in the puddles with his froggy crocs :0)

i don’t know why, but this next image makes me crack up every time i look at it 🙂have a great day!

friendship, a mission, and a shrine {st. augustine photography}

st. augustine, it’s such a beautiful city, but seems like it is soooooooooooooo stinking far away! when one of my dearest friends in the whole wide world moved from miami to st. augustine, it was bittersweet. bitter, because simply put i hate the distance, and sweet because i know this was a good move for her and her hubby. they love it there and i have to admit, every time i visit them, i love it there too. it’s REALLY different from miami. it’s natural and historic beauty is refreshing.  below are some images i took from my visit a couple weeks ago. all these images came from a very pretty park named mission of nombre de Dios and shrine of our lady of la leche.

and here is a shot i took of my friend and i. i know, i have pretty bad aim. but one eye is better than none, right?

and my wonderful friends who spoiled me the entire time i was visiting, took me to this aaaahhhhhhhhmazing restaurant called biscotti’s. if you are ever in the st. auggie area, you have to eat there!!! and have dessert! i found a new lemonade i really liked:does anyone know where i can get this in miami? yummmmmmmmy!

and now to dedicate to my dear friend and to end this post with a quote, because i heart quotes:

“my best friend is the one who brings out the best in me” -henry ford

I LOVE these pics…when I was in high school, my older brother used to take Alida, myself, and Caleb to St. Augustine every summer for a few days…my brother lived in Jacksonville, so it wasn’t that long of a drive…we’d go to this one beach there that was just amazing…St. Augustine is full of such beauty…my older brother proposed to his wife there! Amazing pics–thanks for posting them! 🙂

boys will be boys {miami children’s photography}

a few nights ago my family headed out to key biscayne  in the late afternoon to play on the beach and of course beach + kids always means photo opp for me ;0) so here are a few images from that day:

now i don’t know if you can tell or not, but my boys have quite a bit of an age gap between them ;0) 9 years to be exact! so it truly surprises me how well they play together and get along (mostly ;0). i also think its funny how boys have this innate need to throw rocks, and how young that need to throw rocks starts!another funny “only specific to boys” thing is the: lets smack, kick, and punch each other for fun.  and this game always sends them into fits of laughter….i don’t get it?? can someone explain??? and their dad loves this game too, sometimes the instigator!

hope you’re having a wonderful summer and taking time to play and cherish each other!

much love,

~c

OMG….that rock picture scared me a bit because it looked like it was right above his head, just about to smack him…LOL…LOVE the pics….and as for the need to hit, it never ends….when Alex and his cousins get together, there is hitting and punching and play fighting going on…and they are all in the later 20s-early 30s…GRRRRRR…one of life’s many mysteries!
