meet baby luke (part I) {miami baby photography}

I had the privilege today to photography this sweet lil’ guy’s first portraits.  He is a miracle, seriously he is a miracle!  He was born 4 weeks before his due date. It all started last week when mom went in for her regular OB appointment. After the doctor performed all of his regular examinations, he concluded that Luke needed to be born by c-section that  very night.  As you can imagine, Luke’s family was extremely worried but knew they had to trust God and the medical staff to safely deliver Luke that night.  Luke was born at 4.4 lbs.  Typically when a baby is born under 5 lbs they go directly to the NICU, but because Luke’s apgar scores were as high as a full term baby’s scores he didn’t have to.  Luke is a true gift from God!
